In the early 70’s, Jeffrey Brackeen advised his friends and the readers of The Standard, to start buying silver. He accurately predicted that the price of gold would be cut loose from its fixed rate of $35.00 an ounce and quickly soar to $65.oo, which it did. A couple years later, he again advised his friends to buy gold because the price would jump to $285.00 an ounce. Again, he was right. Finally he once more predicted the timing of its rise form $285.00 to $860.00 an ounce.

He himself sold all his gold on the very day, it reached $860.00 an ounce. The information he is providing in this series of articles is far more valuable than gold, because it’s reception or rejection will determine the future of those who read these articles.

"I have a few things against you, because you allow the woman, Jezebel to teach and to seduce my servants to commit (spiritual) fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols." - Revelation 2:20

In the last issue, we began an investigation into the origin and nature of the Great Deception promised to come upon the end of our age. In these next few pages, we hope to show the subtle, yet crucial decision which is shaping the lives of millions of people, even as we write.

Thousands upon thousands of people who claim to be Christians, have already worshiped the Beast or his Image or receive his Mark in their hand or in their forehead. They have succumbed to the deceptions of the false Prophet, who just happens to be pictured here as a woman, named Jezebel.

We must ask ourselves how the fruits of one lie can manifest in so many forms of false worship. It has to do with one central issue; an issue that cannot help but determine the eternal fate of millions of people and that is: Which god am I serving? The real truth may surprise you.

There is a craze sweeping the land. Young people, who think they are honoring the Lord Jesus Christ are being tattooed by the thousands, with a symbol that has nothing to do with Christ: The Six Pointed Star, familiar to so many religions around the world.

Multitudes of others are being swept up in celebrating the ancient festivals of Israel, such as, the feasts of Trumpets, Yom Kippur (atonement) Pentecost and various other feasts, not realizing who it is they are honoring or to whom their food is being dedicated. And this trend will continue as more and more Christians become ‘Judiazed’ and the end of the Millennium approaches.

The Apostle Paul would be shocked today to see all the T. V. preachers leading hordes of people back to the ‘beggerly principles’ of a world they should not return to. He wrote, "I am afraid of you. . . . How is it, that when you knew God, you render service to them, which by

nature are not gods. But now, after you have become acquainted with God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly principles again, desiring to be in bondage? You are observing days and months and times and years. I am afraid for you, lest I have bestowed labor upon you in vain."1

The people of Galatia had forsaken their idols to worship the Most High God, as revealed by Jesus Christ and Paul the Apostle, only now to fall for the deceptions of the ‘Judaizers’, who were bringing them into bondage to the god of the Jews, YHVH and his feasts. As I have

pointed out many times in these pages, the god of the Jews is not the Unknown God of the Christians and if you think they are one and the same, your service to the one will cause you to despise one or the other. You cannot serve two gods simultaneously. You must love one and despise the other or forsake one and cleave to the other.

Those who are preaching a ‘prosperity gospel’, especially the T.V. preachers, are spreading YHVH’s gospel. His followers have always held that if one is prosperous, then he must be serving God and being blessed by him. Listen, "Men of corrupt minds, destitute of the Truth,

who imagine that GAIN IS GODLINESS. From such withdraw yourself, . . . and having food and garment, be content. For they that will become rich, fall into temptation, even a Snare and into many foolish and damaging desires, which DROWN MEN IN DESTRUCTION AND

PERDITION. BECAUSE THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL, which some coveting, have departed from the Faith, piercing themselves through with sorrows."2

Just a few days, I received a newsletter advising that now is a good time to invest in the Stock Market. Some people have a tendency to ignore all warnings. Not only is the United States government deeply in debt, our people are up to their ears in debt. I am deeply troubled by the

fact that so many pension funds are heavy in the Stock Market. Right now, we see our currency losing value against the Japanese Yen. Many foreign investors who were holding U. S. bonds or currency are beginning to dump them in favor of the Japanese Yen.

Greed drives men to do unbelievable things. Some of the electronic stocks are over-valued by ratios of 1,000 to 1 in earning potentials and and yet the managers of pension funds keep pouring working people’s money into them.

Others are dabbling in Options. An option is the right to buy or sell a stock or a commodity at a set price. Many companies are jumping on the band wagon by giving their employees options in their companies. Unfortunately many of these are being issued at below-market prices, so that when that company does attempt to sell shares on the open market, they are being confronted with huge outstanding options held by their own employees.

Another little known devise, that is being used more and more is Derivatives. A derivative is not a tangible asset. They are bets that allow traders to buy or sell items, such as stocks, bonds or currency at a pre-determined price. Let me give you something to chew on. We are

told that the total value of all stocks in the U. S. amounts to $9 Trillion, while the derivative obligations held by U. S. banks amounts to more than $33 Trillion!!! And the derivative market world-wide amounts to $100 Trillion.

Beloved, the teachings concerning the Unknown God or the Most High God are so different from those pertaining to YHVH the god of the fleshly Jews. I am almost at a lost to differentiate them, so I’ll share my story.

For the past few years, I’ve been taking my dry cleaning to a very nice family that owns a dry cleaning establishment, in Lake Havasu City. And as you can imagine, proprietors like to know something about the people they serve. So, I was somewhat amused when the man says to

me out of the blue, "You’re a preacher aren’t you?" Well, I was somewhat taken aback, because I generally do not consider myself to be a preacher, even though I did study theology when I was young and even served as a pastor in a small church. And I was invited on various

occasions to be a speaker at national conventions for preachers. But over the years, when various persons, especially talk show hosts, have asked me which ‘denomination’ I studied with, I have been extremely

reticent to say, because, since those days, for various reasons. When, for instance, I began questioning the concept that Christ’s second Coming would be split into two different appearances, separated by three and a half years of tribulation, I began to loose my popularity on the conference circuit.

It seemed to me, that the particular group of Christians I studied with, did study theology, sorteology, eschatology and etc. but they really weren't studying how to Know God, much less how to be United with God. I have literally had to unlearn much of what I was taught in

those days. But beyond that, I began to see a tremendous difference between what our theological schools, of today were producing and what the early Christian Church produced. I could see a very obvious difference in the strength of character of the early catechumen and

today’s Christians. I saw this in myself and those about me and had to ask some serious questions about our methods of instruction, for building strong character.

One of the things I see Jesus instructing his disciples to do was to ‘Know Thyself’. Many people think they know themselves but seemed shocked when they get derailed. The future king of Syria told Elisha, "Am I a dog that I would do such a thing?"3 And even Peter, said to

Jesus, "Though others may be offended by you, I will never be offened by you. . . . or deny you."4 Yet, we know that he did deny Jesus three times. His training was still incomplete.

As time went by, I began to study the methods of initiation used by early Christians and then I began to understand the disparity between their finished products and today’s. It began to dawn on me that the process of initiation was very much like the training one receives in the military. And when Paul spoke of putting on the ‘whole Armour of God’ this is what he was referring to.5

Over the past twenty years or so, we have seen thousands of priests and nuns leave their vocations and sacred calling to return to the world. It seems to me that I saw a figure for nuns that said 80,000 have deserted. Why?

Another question I have asked myself, is why some of the Protestant denominations haven’t taken in hand to adopt one or the other of the monasteries or Orders and support them with funds. I can answer that very quickly. The Protestants have thrown out all sense of mystery and the Mysteries and are so very poor in the eyes of Christ, for having done so.

In the last issue of this publication, I began to point out some things about the prophecies found in John’s Revelation about the Dragon, the Beast and the False Prophet. What I find interesting is the fact that

while John devotes a few paragraphs to describing each of these entities, he devotes two whole chapters to the subject of the woman who rides on the back of the beast and to her destruction. Perhaps we need to look at this in some detail.

"Your merchants were the great men of Earth; for by your Sorceries were all men deceived."6 "There shall arise among you also, false teachers, who shall bring in damnable heresies . . . and through Covetousness, shall they make merchandise of you, through feigned words."7

John goes into great detail to describe a religious entity that made all nations drunk with its wine. It is both religious and economic at the same time. She is to be destroyed by fire, in one hour. and all the merchants of Earth will mourn over her. John was told that this woman’s existence is a great Mystery for those who love God.

In my book, Forbidden Truths Revealed, I discussed the two pillars that ancient Babylon was built on. One was her bankers and one was her armies. She conquered many countries by letting her bankers lend money out to other peoples and her armies made sure that they

repaid those loans. Does that sound familiar? How do you think the nations of Asia and Africa feel, who are being bludgeoned by the World Bank and the I. M. F.?

The god of the Babylonians was named Baal or Moloch. His living embodiment was the king of Babylon, who was worshiped as a god. The king was the State. Whatever he said was law. Jezebel worshiped this god. So when her husband coveted the vineyard of a poor man, she

thought nothing about having him put to death, so her husband Ahab could have the vineyard. Do we not see like seizures of land occurring in our own country?

What I want to emphasis in this writing is the difference between the god of this world, who is the Demiurge (or YHVH) and the god that Jesus talked about, because the Most High is permitting the world to be tested by the Demiurge and his Great Lie, even as I write. All men are

being forced to choose between one or the other of these two gods and sad to relate, many Christians are bowing before Moloch without realizing it. A little history would be in order about here, to differentiate between the False Prophet and the Great Whore. Both came upon the scene at the same time.

Even as Christianity was being spread by it missionaries in the 1st Century, there were divisions arising within its ranks. Groups began to congeal around certain teachers. In general, these divisions can be traced back to two different views of what Jesus had taught. I’ll call the one group the ‘Pistics’ (Faith only) and the second the ‘Sophites’ (Wisdom that produces Faith + Action).

Now the ‘Pistics’ rejected the notion that Jesus had taught secret teachings to some and not to others. They preferred to believe that everyone in the Church was equal, in every way before God. The ‘Sophites’ held that Jesus had indeed given instruction both in private and had even revealed special rituals to assist those who wished to progress in the spiritual world.

When I was three years old, my mother divorced my father, so I never really got to know him until I was a teenager and finally met him. You would never have known it was the same man. The picture my mother painted of him, was a man whose quirks and eccentricies were

like mountains. I should not have been surprised however, at what I finally learned, because when I would ask my grandmother questions about my father, she told an entirely different story. I think she loved him. Anyway, my point being that in time, when one party to a dispute gains the power to suppress the testimony of the opposite party, a totally

different version of what took place, becomes the record. And so it was in the days of early Christianity. The ‘Pistics’ eventually gained favor with the Roman government and began to erase and rewrite history. When they got through describing the ‘Sophites’, we can barely recognize them.

The ink wasn’t even dry on John’s Revelation of Jesus Christ, when the Nicolaitines began pressing for the bishop’s authority. (The word Nicolaitine means 'conqueror of the people'). We

can see this tendency in the writings of Clement, as he began instructing Christians to obey their bishop in all things, as if he were Christ. By the year 100 A.D. all the original Apostles were dead. There were a few Prophets left but their authority was being question by people like -

Justin Martyr (100 - 165 A.D.) declared that Jesus’ life contained the final revelation of mankind and that there was no need for any kind of further revelation. Justin was mystified however that the mysteries in the heathen religion were in many ways identical to those in the Christian religion. He explain this saying that the Devil had anticipated the truths of Christ and had instituted false mysteries before the arrival of Jesus Christ.

But it was left to a Jewish convert named Irenaeus (130-200 A.D.) to begin an attack upon the Unknown God of the Apostle Paul. Irenaeus refused to use any of Paul’s writings insisting that he was a false apostle. Irenaeus was a convert of Polycarp, who was a disciple of the Beloved

John. So, it seems strange to see him attacking another disciple of John, named Cerinthus. According to him, Cerinthus taught that "Jesus was not born of the virgin, but was the son of Joseph and Mary, just like

any other man, but more powerful in righteousness, intelligence and wisdom. After his baptism, Christ descended upon him from the Authority which is above all, in the form of a dove and thereafter [he] proclaimed the Unknown Father and accomplished wonders. But at his

end, Christ again departed from Jesus [on the cross] and only Jesus suffered and rose again; Christ, however remained impassable, since he was a spiritual being."

In one of the Gnostic writing, The Second Treatise of the Great Seth, we read, "Yes, they saw me, they punished me. It was another, their father, who drank the gall and the vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his

shoulder. It was another upon whom they placed the crown of thorns. But I was rejoicing in the Height over all the wealth of the Archons and the offspring of their error, of their empty glory. And I was laughing at their ignorance."8

In the Apocalypse of Peter, we read, "And I (Peter) said: What do I see, O Lord, that it is you yourself, whom they take and that you are grasping me? Or who is this one, glad and laughing on the tree? And is it another one whose feet and hands they are striking? The

Savior said to me, He whom you saw on the tree, glad and laughing, this is the living Jesus. But this one into whose hands and feet they drive the nails is his fleshly part, which is the substitute being put to shame, the one who came into being in his likeness."9

Irenaeus wanted to make Jesus the man equal to God the Father. Macchio advises us that Irenaeus single-handedly warred against the idea of the Unknown God and the doctrine of ‘Emanations’ from this

God. He wanted his fellow Christians to worship YHVH, the God of the Jews. He felt that since the fall of man came about by his disobedience, salvation could only be attained by adhering to the law - the outline of which was available only to the Church.

Well, Marcion, the bishop of Rome at that time was not about to be placed under the law of YHVH. He detested many of the stories in the Old Testament and so he compiled a list of the traits of the Good God that Jesus had taught versus the traits of the lower god YHVH. His

teaching was so effective that many churches were begun throughout the Roman Empire, and they used his compilation of Paul’s writings (and Luke’s gospel) which he called The New Testament.

You see, there was no such thing as pure orthodoxy. Many teachers passed on their interpretation of what Jesus had taught. If they differed from one another, they were called ‘heresies’ or opinions, for that is what the word originally meant. There was no official ‘canon’ of

Christian scriptures, as each church had its own collection of writings, which they revered. The Church in Syria possessed a library of over 200 writings by the Apostles and their immediate followers.

However, in later years, to be called a ‘heretic’ might bring a death sentence, but not so in the beginning. Many a great teacher, in his own day, who might be considered ‘orthodox’ enough by his fellow teachers, was often classified as a ‘heretic’ in later ages. One such person was

Clement, (150-215 A.D.) the third bishop of Rome described Basilides as being, "A philosopher devoted to the contemplation of Divine things." About the year 130 A.D., Basilides went to Alexandria and started a school. He claimed to have received the "secret words" of

Jesus from the Apostle Matthias. He said that he had also been instructed by Glaucias, Peter’s interpreter. He was also learned in Hellenic, Egyptian, and Hebrew wisdom.

It was said of him that he also wrote a gospel, plus twenty -four volumes, called ‘Interpretations upon the Gospels’. But because he taught his disciples to celebrate the baptism of Jesus, he was called a ‘heretic’, many years later. This just shows that he understood

what really happened at Jesus’ baptism. The same thing happened to Origen, because he quoted Jesus’ teachings on the subject of reincarnation.

Depending upon who is doing the review, Tertullian (150-225 A.D.) either comes out as a defender of orthodoxy or a heretic. His treatise ‘A Plea for the Prosecution Against the Heretics’ laid a foundation that Augustine would build on, some two hundred years later, when he called for the suppression by death of heretics, and the confiscation of their churches.

Around the year 325 A.D. Constantine, the Emperor, who had brought an end to the terrible persecution of the Christians, began the labor of making Christianity the legal religion of the Empire. He called for a council that year in the city of Nicea (Turkey) to discuss several issues

which were affecting the Church. One issue was which books should become a part of the ‘canon’ (Irenaeus had already declared that there should only be four gospels) and the second question was to decide if

Arias, the bishop of Antioch was right. Arias and indeed many churches in the east held that Jesus was just a man, not god. The churches of Antioch and Syria were also well known for their Gnostic beliefs. So when Augustine prevailed upon the majority of the bishops

in attendance to banish Arias from the Empire, the leaders of the church at Antioch departed from the council and went home. From this time on, those who were beginning to style themselves as Catholics

(universalists) began a literal war of blood and fire against the other varieties of Christians, including the Donatists, the Novationists, the Valentinians, the Arians, as well as Schools of Wisdom.

Today, there are many Protestants who would be offended if you were to call them Catholics but the fact of the matter is, as long as they are ruled by the decisions of the Roman Papacy as to which books they will permit themselves to call sacred, to that extent, they are good Catholics.

The Lord Jesus Christ had revealed to the church at Thyatira, "I have a few things against you because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to seduce and to teach my servants to commit [spiritual] adultery and to eat things sacrificed to idol. I gave her room to repent of her fornication, but she did not. Behold, I will cast he

upon a bed and those who commit adultery with her [will go] into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with Death and all the churches will know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts and I will give unto every one of you, according to your deeds."10

When the Church and State became married to one another, it could be said that the woman climbed on the back of the seven-headed beast and rode it. This is the woman, described in the book of Revelation as the old Whore. The False Prophet, par se, was the Roman Papacy,

which did not fully come into its full power until after the death of the last Roman Emperor in 465 A.D. The only real power left in Rome after the city was sacked and destroyed was the bishop of Rome.

In the year 554 A.D. Justinin bowed before the Pontiff and became the new Emperor of a revived empire. This marriage would last for 1260 years, until Napoleon arrested the Pope and brought him to France in 1814.

May the Most High God bless you with understanding, so that you will not partake of her deeds. - Jeffrey Brackeen
