WHO
WERE THE MIGHTY MEN OF ANTIQUITY?

Friends,
This past year, we delved deeply into the processes for transforming
the soul and it’s possibility of growth through the seven levels of
Consciousness. Earlier in the year, I was asked to offer some thoughts
on the meaning of Jesus’ parable about
the wheat and the tares. In this writing, I want to share with you another
interpretation - the Gnostic interpretation - of who the tares are.
According to their way of thinking the ‘field’ would have been the Earth
and the ‘enemy’ who sowed the
tares would have been the fallen leader of the angels. The ‘tares’ would
have been those space aliens, who came with him to earth to mingle with
the daughters of men. They were the ‘Nephalim’ or fallen ones.
I offer the following thoughts because these matters are actually very
related.
In the Book of Enoch and the Book of Genesis, we are told that
their offspring became the "mighty men of renown".
It is my belief that we have returned to a situation like that which
existed during the days of Noah. There are individuals
among us have seized control of much of the mass communications media,
the banking industry and other important segments of modern society.
These "mighty men" are indeed men but they are also much more
than just men. They possesses greater powers and abilities than the
‘average’ man. As you may remember from our previous study of the tares,
we discovered that tares do
look a lot like wheat in the early stages of growth but they can be
distinguished at maturity. We also noted that they are poisonous and
if they are ground up with wheat, the product will probably make a person
sick. In this article, I will share with
you some of the incredible feats which these individuals did before
the Great Flood and what they are doing today. The Truth is stranger
than fiction. In the 6th Chapter of Genesis, we read,
"It came to pass that when men began to multiple on the face of
the Earth and daughters were born to them, the the Sons of God (B’nai
Elohim) saw that the daughters of men were beautiful to behold and they
took to themselves wives of their choosing. . . They were the ‘giants’
in
the Earth in those days and even after that, when the Sons of God came
in to the daughters of men and sired children by them, the same became
‘mighty men’ of of - men of renown."
TERMS
USED TO DESCRIBE THE ‘FALLEN ONES’
The word ‘giants’ in Hebrew is the word ‘nephalim’ which means
‘fallen ones’. These are "the angels which
kept not their ‘first estate’ but left their original habitation and
are now bound by everlasting chains of Darkness, awaiting the great
day of Judgement" according to
the Apostle Jude. The Greek word translated here ‘first estate’ is ‘oiketerion’.
It is used in 2 Corinthians 5:2 to refer to the resurrection body. In
other words, they left their glorious body to take on fleshly bodies.
The Book of Jubilees relates
that it was in the days of the Patriarch Jared (‘Jeh-red’) that
the angels descended (yaw-red) to Earth. They came here as ‘watchers’
(‘Zophim’) but decided to stay and take over the Earth by intermarrying
with women. Num. 23) Jordan from ‘Yar-dane’ means place of descent.
Some
of the other Hebrew words used to describe the ‘nephalim’ are:
1. ‘Anakim’ a race of hybrids, half human, half alien. (Sons
of Anakuam 13:33)
2. ‘’Rephaim’ (as in Genesis 14:5; 2 Sam. 5:18) from the root
word, ‘rapha’ which means spirits or shades.
3. ‘Emim’ meaning ‘proud deserters’ but also a race of giants.

4. ‘Og’ (Deut. 3:11)
5.. ‘Zamzummims’ these were the ‘evil plotters’ of Deut. 2:20
6. ‘Zuzim’ meaning ‘roaming things’, evil ones (Gen. 14:5)
All over the Earth can be found the remains of their cities. High on
the Alto Plain of Peru is the incredible remains of a city built many
millennium ago. Its stones fit so closely together that it is impossible
to place a needle between them. Other massive construction sites can
be found on Crete in the Mediterranean and off the coast of Japan.
Even in our own time, there are ‘mighty, men of renown’ who are more
than ordinary human beings. Some of the individuals come as scientists,
and ‘titans’ of industry and politics. This is not to say every wealthy
person like Bill Gates
is a product of Alien genetics tampering. Yet, there are also individuals
among us who have become ‘god-like’ through the development of their
own spiritual natures. I come back to them shortly.
WHERE
DID THESE ALIENS COME FROM?
These are some of the ‘Sons of God’ (B’nai Elohim) who existed before
the foundation of the Earth, spoken of by God, "Where
were you [Job], when I laid the foundations of the Earth? . . . When
the morning Stars sang together and all the Sons of God shouted for
joy?"1
Why were they shouting for joy? Because they had been given physical
worlds to inhabit and to work with. Most, if not all the planets in
our Solar System were inhabited. Our own scientists could not believe
what they saw in 1976 on the
surface of Mars, when our satellites flew by and photographed its surface.
In the region of Cydonia, they saw perfect pyramids and a ‘humanoid’
face looking up at them, much like that of the Great Sphnyx. They also
discovered that at one time Mars
had oceans much like Earth and that some enormous catastrophe blew the
waters away into outer space. What could that have been?
THE
DESTRUCTION OF ONE OF OUR PLANETS
How is that the Babylonians knew about a massive planet that once existed
between Mars and Jupiter, unless someone told them about it. As our
scientists probe more and more into the ancient past, they have turned
to the asteroids in the
Asteroid Belt where this planet once existed to study meteors, comets
and asteroids. In the October, 1987 edition of Science Magazine,
R. H. Brown and D. P. Cruikshank reported that through the use of spectra
analysis, they have discovered that
some of the asteroids (Murray, 103 Electra and Orguiel) had once been
part of a body that possessed water and clay. Another scientist, Ovenden
demonstrated that the parent body of the Asteroid Belt was a giant planet,
about the size of Saturn
(90 times the mass of Earth). It was literally blown apart, creating
the Asteroid Belt, comets and meteors. Jeremiah, the prophet spoke of
a time BEFORE MAN EXISTED ON THIS PLANET, when the Earth was subjected
to an enormous
catastrophe. He wrote: "I beheld Earth, and
lo, it was WITHOUT FORM and VOID and the heavens and there was no Light.
. . . I beheld no man and even the birds had fled. I beheld the fruitful
place had become desolate and the CITIES WERE BROKEN DOWN by the presence
of the LORD and his fierce anger."2
The expressions ‘without form’ and ‘void’ in the Hebrew are ‘tohu’
and ‘bohu’. They are used in the first two verses of Genesis,
Chapter one, to describe the condition of Earth before the Elohim began
their work of renovation. We know that when Earth was first created,
it was beautiful to behold and the
Sons of God rejoiced at seeing it. But it was also devastated along
with Mars when this giant planet was blown asunder. This may well be
the same planet known as ‘Rahab’. There are three more passages
which seem to speak of this same event.
"The
pillars of Heaven tremble and are astonished. He divides the sea by
his power and by his understanding he smites through the Proud. By his
spirit he beautifies the heavens."3
The word translated ‘proud’ here is the Hebrew word ‘rahab’.
Many believe that this refers to a planet which once existed.
"How
are you fallen from Heaven, Lucifer, (‘hay-lale’ - shining with bright
color), son of the morning? How have you been cast down to Earth? who
did weaken the nations! For you said in your heart, I will ascend into
Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the Stars of God: I will sit also
on the Mount of the Congregation in the sides of the North."
How
is it that Isaiah directs this diatribe against a man, who happens to
be the king of Babylon?4 Was this man one of the ‘nephalim’?
And what about the diatribe directed against the king of Tyre?
"You
have been in Eden, the Garden of God; every precious stone was your
covering, the sardius, topaz, the diamond, the beryl,the onyx, the jasper,
the sapphire, the emerald, the carbuncle and gold; the workmanship of
your tabrets and your pipes was prepared in you on the day when you
were created; You were the Anointed Cherub that covers. . . . You were
perfect in your ways from the day you were created, until iniquity was
found in you. . . . Your heart was lifted up because of your BEAUTY,
you have corrupted your wisdom because of your BRIGHTNESS: I will cast
you to the ground."5 Was this king also one of
the ‘nephalim’?
THE
MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD
There are many today, whose lives have been touched by the many sightings
of UFO’s. Some have apparently been taken abroad space craft and been
subjected to genetic experiments. I do not doubt the veracity of these
people. I am satisfied that
these aliens no longer resort to intermarriage with mortal women any
more, yet they do tamper with the genetic codes found in human bodies.
However, only the Most High is able to transform the very molecular
structure of the
cells in the human body. This is the process of Divinization.
The Most High does have a plan of his own to combat this evil conspiracy.
The Apostle Paul hinted at it when he wrote, "We
know that the whole Creation groans and travails in pain together until
now, and not they, but we ourselves also, who have the first-fruits
of the Spirit - even we ourselves groan within ourselves, awaiting the
Adoption and the Redemption of our body . . . for the earnest expectation
of the creature awaits the MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD.’6
Now, these ‘Sons of God’ are not the same as the angels who came to
Earth and intermarried with women. These ‘Sons of God’ possess amazing
powers and they already walk among us. Indeed, that is the purpose of
Initiation to bring forth and
develop the full potential of mankind as a ‘divinized' society. Not
everyone who believes in Christ becomes a ‘Son of God’ automatically,
because it is written, "As many as receive
Him, to them he gave the right (or privilege) of becoming Sons of God.
. ."7
We read of one occasion when Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem and as
he passed though the villages and towns, "Someone
asked him, ‘Lord, will only a few be saved?’ And he said to them, ‘Strive
to enter in through the hard gate, for many, I tell you, will seek to
enter but will be unable to do so."8
THE
TRUE GNOSTICS
During the past decade, we have been witnesses to an interesting phenomena.
Certain groups of Fundamentalists have began to label everyone who disagrees
with their interpretation of things as being ‘Gnostics’. This
label is being
used to paint Charismatics, Reconstructionists, Evangelicals and some
Catholics with one brush and is meant to be a pejorative. I think that
if these individuals only knew what the true Gnostics taught and practiced,
they would
not use this expression as a pejorative. The above mentioned groups
certainly do not teach the process for the Divinization of the Soul.
In recent issues, we have dealt with the Secret Teachings of the Early
Christian Church. I have gone to some lengths to show that Jesus
Christ had three distinct circles of followers, consisting of an inner,
middle and outer ring of followers. I also
attempted to demonstrate how, over a period of decades, certain ones
who were beginning to label themselves ‘Orthodox’ began to distort
the Secret Teachings into something that ‘everybody’ could accept, thus
watering down
the words of Christ. Herein began the process of hiding or changing
the true meaning of his teachings.
This tread can be seen from the writings of Irenaus who complained of
the Gnostics, "They speak the same language we do, but intend different
meanings." In our own times, William Blake lamented, "Both
(of us) read the Bible day and night, but you read black, where I read
white."
Take for example the passage in 2 Peter, "Whereby
are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these
we may become PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE. . . ."9
An example of how the Orthodox changed and obscured the teachings of
Christ, appears in an interesting admission in the Abingdon Dictionary
of Living Religions, "God’s essence is inaccessible. His uncreated
and eternal energies (Glory, Light,
Love) permeate the Universe and make possible a personal Union with
man. In its worship the Church offers thanksgiving that God has opened
the way for man to come to him has made Union with Him possible. This
is the Orthodox Churches’
teaching of the deification (theosis) of man, a doctrine based
on the Incarnation, which revealed a new Perfect Humanity . . . This
Union is the goal of prayer and participation in the Sacraments. It
involves the cooperation of two wills, divine and
human. In this Union with God human being become ‘partakers of the divine
nature’ (II Peter 1:4) without ceasing to be creature. Other New Testament
writers expressed this Union in terms of being or dwelling in Christ.
The Fathers of the
Church as well as modern theologians recognized the deification as the
goal of Christian life lies at the base of every important theological
controversy in the history of the Orthodox Churches."10
Even as late as the beginning of the 4th Century, Eusebius was able
to write, "The Word of God (Christ) is now God as he had been man,
in order to deify mankind together with himself."11
THE
PROCESS OF PRESERVATION
When modern Evangelicals speak of baptism they mean one thing and one
thing only. To them, baptism is a one-time affair where a believer is
buried in water. True, there may be different formulas used but there
is only one baptism where the
believer is dipped in water. This is not what the early Christians meant
however. When they affirmed, ‘There is one Lord, one faith and one baptism’,
they had something else in mind. To them, baptism was a process of events,
usually
covering many years. First, we must take a look at Strong’s Exhaustive
Concordance. It draws a sharp contrast between two Greek words.

baptizo [bap-tid’-zo] Not to be confused with 911, bapto.
The clearest example that shows the meaning of baptizo is a text from
the Greek poet and physician Nicander, who lived about 200 B.C. It is
a recipe for making pickles and is helpful because it uses both words.
Nicander
says that in order to make a pickle, the vegetable should first
be
‘dipped’ (bapto) into boiling water and then ‘baptised’ (baptizo) in
the vinegar
solution. Both verbs concern
the immersion of vegetables in a solution.
But the first is temporary. The second, the act of baptizing
the vegetable, produces a permanent change."
THE
FIVE EXTRA SEALS OF THE EARLY CHRISTIANS
There were five additional ‘seals’ administered to the advanced Christian
Initiate. The first of these was to be clothed with the Garment of Light.
This is referred to in Jesus’ parable about the man with no wedding
garment. One should not dare to enter the higher realms without this
‘garment’ of Light to protect himself.
Next, came the baptism in ‘celestial waters’, which was administered
by belonging to the celestial class. This was followed by the seating
of the Initiate on a ‘heavenly throne’, which Paul the Apostle referred
to when he wrote, "[He] has
raised us up together and caused us to be seated in heavenly realms
in Christ Jesus."12 Next, he was crowned with
a ‘crown of life or crown of glory’, which Christ referred to, when
he "Hold fast that which you have been given,
that no man take your crown."13
Finally,
he gained entrance into the Light, which is Union with the Most High.
In 1957, Alice Bailey wrote something, which I agree with in some respects.
She wrote, ". . . The church movement, like all else, is but a
temporary expedition and serves but a transient resting place for the
evolving life. Eventually, there will appear the Church Universal, and
its definite outlines will appear towards the close of this century.
. .
"This Church will be nurtured into activity by the Christ and His
disciples when the outpouring of the Christ principle, the TRUE second
Coming has been accomplished. . . . The Christian church in its many
branches can serve as a nucleus
through which world illumination may be accomplished. . .. the church
as a teaching factor should take the great basic doctrines and (shattering
the old forms in which they are expressed and held) show their true
and inner spiritual
significance. The prime work of the church is to teach and to teach
ceaselessly, preserving the outer appearance in order to reach the many,
who are accustomed to church usages. Teachers must be trained; Bible
knowledge must be spread; the sacraments must be mystically interpreted
and the power of the church to heal must be demonstrated."14
